Everton have fallen behind West Ham in the race to sign Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues, according to sources in Turkey.
The 27-year old has been impressive for Gala this season, and while Newcastle and Everton are said to hold an interest in the Cape Verde international, David Moyes’ side have stolen the lead by offered €12million.
That is courtesy of Turkish outlet Takvim, as translated by Sport Witness, who also report that Galatasaray have rejected the Hammers’ offer, with the Turkish giants demanding around €18million for the player.
However, other sources in Turkey claim the asking price is much higher, with Chronicle Live reporting, citing from Turkish source Turkish Football, that Gala are wanting around €30million.
Turkish Football are also reporting quotes from Rodrigues’ agent Ceylan Caliskan, where he confirms Premier League interest in his client. He said;
Yes there has been offers from the Premier League but we are going to wait until the end of the season before making any decisions.
Rodrigues’ primary goal is to lift the Super Lig title, to become a champion.
Rodrigues has scored seven goals and registered nine assists in 31 games for Galatasaray this season.
