Everton have been dealt a transfer boost after reports emerged claiming that long-term Toffees target Arkadiusz Milik would be available for the bargain fee of just £13.5m in January.
The Poland international, who has managed to score 112 goals in his senior career, has fallen out of favour at current club Napoli and has been out in the cold for some time.
Gennaro Gattuso, who succeeded current Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti at the Stadio San Paolo, had previously taken the bold step of excluding Milik from both Napoli’s Serie A and European squads.
The Everton boss has previously hailed Milik as ‘sensational’ for his goalscoring talents. His contract expires in the summer and he can sign a pre-contract agreement with a non-Italian club next month.
The Partenopei are reportedly willing to ‘compromise slightly on the proposed £13.5m fee’, in the knowledge that non-Italian clubs could snap him up on a free at the end of the year. However, suitors such as Everton could be able to acquire his services and can pay the knockdown fee of just £13.5m in January.
To put that figure into perspective, his phenomenal goal record means that Transfermarkt have valued him at £24.3m – and Milik is perhaps coming into the peak of his career at 26.

In terms of his record with Napoli, Milik represents a potent option for any attack. He has scored 48 goals in 122 appearances for the Azzurri but is reportedly keen to leave as soon as possible in search of regular first team football.
He could provide strong and meaningful competition to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, although his acquisition would perhaps spell bad news for the likes of Cenk Tosun and Moise Kean at Goodison Park.
