Everton are said to be interested in a move for LOSC Lille central defender Adama Soumaoro.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, the Toffees are keen to bolster their defensive reinforcements and have considered a move for the impressive Lille star.
The 25-year-old has been in good form for Lille this season and has evidently caught the eye of Everton’s scouts. The report claims that Everton will hold talks in the near future to discuss Soumaoro and whether or not he would be a worthwhile addition to the squad.
However, if Everton are to lure the Frenchman away from the Ligue 1 club, it’s likely that they will have to cough up a considerable sum of money. According to the Daily Mail, Soumaoro will cost in the region of £20 million.
Everton currently lack quality, defensive options and it’s likely that Sam Allardyce will be keen to strengthen this area in January.
