Everton have announced that SportPesa will take over from Chang as the club’s shirt sponsor next season.
SportPesa, who are an African betting firm, have signed a five year deal with The Toffees in a record sponsorship deal for the club.
Everton have not disclosed the value of the deal, but they have confirmed it is the most “lucrative” in their history.
Chang will remain as the club’s community sponsor, it was announced last week. The Thai brewing company has been the Blues’ main sponsor since replacing Keijan in 2004.
The Echo had reported that Everton were in talks with SportPesa back in December, and it looked more likely after The Echo revealed earlier this month that the Kenyan company had chosen Liverpool as the venue for it’s European HQ.
SportPesa hope to create around 100 jobs within the next 18 months, and are believed to be close to agreeing a deal for offices in the Royal Liver Building, recently purchased by club majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.
