Everton have completed their third signing of the summer, securing Portugal Under-19s international goalkeeper João Virgínia on a three-year deal.
The 18-year old shot-stopper joins from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee, where he made 22 appearances for youth teams last season. He joined the Gunners in 2015, having first come through Benfica’s academy.

Virgínia started for Portugal last weekend in the final of this summer’s UEFA Under-19s European Championship, in which Portugal were successful over Italy.
Marco Silva said earlier this window that he wanted to have three goalkeepers at Everton this season, and with Jordan Pickford, Maarten Stekelenburg and fellow youth ‘keeper Mateusz Hewelt, Silva now has four players at his disposal.
Virgínia is expected to compete with Hewelt this season for a spot in David Unsworth’s Under-23s side.
