Everton host Southampton at Goodison Park on Saturday, and it’s fair to say that both club’s fans haven’t had the best of seasons.
Thankfully for the Toffees, they sit in eighth place and will play Premier League football next season. The Saints though sit precariously in the relegation zone, one point and one place behind safe as it stands Swansea City.
Everton have won five points from their last three Premier League games, winning the two most recent against Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United.
Mark Hughes meanwhile picked up only his second win since succeeding Mauricio Pellegrino as Southampton manager last weekend, his first in the Premier League, beating South Coast rivals Bournemouth 2-1.
As for the respective clubs’ squads, here is how a combined XI consisting of both clubs would likely look like.
