Everton are claimed to have expressed an interest in signing Quincy Promes from Spartak Moscow in January.
It’s claimed by Sofiane Hanni, who moved from Anderlecht to Spartak near the end of the January transfer window, that Southampton were not the only English side keen to recruit Promes. In an interview with Belgian news outlet Sport Foot, Hanni claimed that the Toffees were in fact interested as well.
A few weeks ago, Spartak refused a €30 million offer from Southampton for Quincy Promes, one of the best players in our team.
I also heard Everton were interested.

Everton were considerably busy in the January transfer window. They tied up big-money deals for Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott before signing Eliaquim Mangala on a loan deal near the end of the month.
However, it seems they were also contemplating a move for Netherlands international Promes, who has been perennially been tipped for a move to the Premier League.
Southampton had a club-record bid rejected for the winger and it seems Spartak will not let him go for anything less than his release clause, which is understood to be in excess of £30m.
