Everton are still on the search for a new manager, but rumours appear to be hotting up.
The Blues were left without a manager after Carlo Ancelotti departed the club at the start of the month.
The Italian returned to Real Madrid, after revealing his dissatisfaction at Everton at the time despite denying the rumours.
However, it seems as though Everton are keen to move on from the Italian, seeking a new boss before next season.
The likes of Nuno Espirito Santo and Rafael Benitez have already been linked with the job.
It appears as though Everton may have found their replacement according to Spanish outlet Todo Fichajes.
Everton are actively negotiating with former Lille manager Christophe Galtier, hoping to reach an agreement soon…
The news, as cited by The Everton End on Twitter, could see a fantastic appointment made by the club.
Galtier has just recently left his role at LOSC Lille after four years in charge.
The Frenchman enjoyed great success with Lille last season, winning Ligue 1 for the first time in ten years.
Everton are in need of a manager such as Galtier, with him clearly able to grow teams towards success.
The Toffees had initially made the appointment of Ancelotti with the hopes of bringing silverware back to Goodison.
However, Galtier could provide this and more given his reputation and ability that he has proven.
The one issue that Everton are currently facing is that Galtier had made a verbal agreement to join Nice next season.
Despite this, a deal is yet to be signed, giving Everton a chance of snatching him from under their noses.
