Everton are reportedly confident of sealing a deal to sign Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez, according to reports.
Carlo Ancelotti is set to launch an ambitious loan bid to bring the Colombian to Goodison Park, as he looks to transform Everton’s fortunes after a tough start to the season.

The Mirror report that Ancelotti is keen on reuniting with the player, who played under Ancelotti at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Ancelotti previously had a good working relationship with Rodriguez, which is why the club believes they could seal a loan swoop for the Colombian.

The midfielder has had an up and down few years, but signing him would be a huge sign of intent from Everton.
Several signings have been highly criticised as of late, but getting a loan deal done for Rodriguez would be a huge deal. Many will remember his exploits at the 2014 World Cup, and Rodriguez would give Everton some much needed quality in the heart of midfield.
He could add some first-class talent to the squad, and maybe allow the Toffees to sell Gylfi Sigurdsson, who never has really settled at the club since his move from Swansea.
