Everton are said to have been alerted by Yacine Brahimi’s situation at FC Porto, with the winger’s contract talks coming to a standstill.
The Toffees have often been touted as a potential destination for the Algerian international in recent transfer windows, whose future at Porto has come under intense scrutiny lately.
Reports in Portugal, as cited by the Shields Gazette, have indicated that negotiations between Brahimi and Porto have reached an impasse, with the player now likely to move on at the nearest opportunity.

It was claimed during the summer transfer window that Porto were holding out for a fee worth £26 million for their star man. Fresh claims state, however, that the Liga NOS outfit may be willing to negotiate at a lower price.
The 28-year-old has scored two goals from nine league appearances this season.
Everton are well-stocked with creative options in the wide areas but it seems, should the opportunity present itself, a move for Brahimi may be of interest to Marco Silva’s side.
