Tim Cahill is widely regarded as one of Everton’s best players of the 21st century and if things go well for his family, there could be another Cahill turing out in the famous blue shirt in the future.

Tim took to social media to announce that his young son Shae has signed for Everton, where he will be part of the club’s academy set-up.
Shae, who is 14-years-old, is the second-oldest of Tim and wife Rebekah’s children, will hopefully follow in his Dad’s footsteps and go on to play at Goodison Park.

Everton has always, and hopefully always will be, a family club, which is why it’s great to see young Shae Cahill sign on with the Toffees.
It would be wrong to put any expectations on the youngster’s shoulders, he’s only 14-years-old afterall, but if he has the same desire and work ethic as his Dad, combined with his own natural talents, then he’ll have every chance of becoming a first-team player like his old man was.
