Everton threw away a two-goal lead to hand West Ham all three points at Goodison Park this afternoon.
The Blues took an early lead through Romelu Lukaku who placed a smart finish past Adrian in off the inside of the post. Kevin Mirallas was then sent off for a second bookable offence after being adjudged to have dived for the first yellow card.
Aaron Lennon then gave Evertonians hope as he scored half an hour into the second-half to give the Blues a two-goal cushion. Everton then looked to secure the game, Muhamed Besic running into the box before being fouled by Alex Song, penalty given, Lukaku stepped up and Adrian saved due to the Belgian’s poor penalty.
West Ham came flying back, Antonio with the first, Diafra Sakho with the second and who other than Dimitri Payet to seal all three points and the Hammers first win against Everton at Goodison since 2005. Sickening to say the least.
