Everton are through to the FA Cup Fourth Round after seeing off League Two team Dagenham & Redbridge at Goodison Park.
Goals from Arouna Kone and Kevin Mirallas from the spot sealed the win as the Blues ending the game with 74% possession in a truly dominant performance.
Although the Toffees would have the majority of the ball it took until the 32nd minute for their first goal, when Kone nodded in a crossed free-kick from Bryan Oviedo. Kevin Mirallas was fouled in the box for Everton’s second, and the Belgian got up to take the penalty and dispatched it accordingly.
Everton’s focus now turns back to the league, with a trip to the Etihad to play Manchester City on Wednesday evening.
