So, as it turns out, Marco Silva knows what he’s doing. That’s reassuring. Glad to see that Dave from GT1 who wasn’t sure about another foreign manager is, once again, incorrect.
But in all seriousness, there is nothing much better than a late winner. There is exclusively one thing greater than a late winner, and that would a late two-goal blitz to win a game we deserved far more than a draw from.
Palace sat back, as we thought they would, and were playing the route one football that both Michael Keane and Kurt Zouma love to defend against, and it showed, as the centre-back pairing were spectacular. On that note, we defended admirably throughout the game whenever Palace (Zaha) decided to threaten Pickford’s goal.
Speaking of Pickford, he once again showed just why he’s one of the most exciting goalkeepers in world football with a save from, granted, a very poor penalty.
