I won’t talk too much about the game itself as you all saw what happened, and if you didn’t, then you’re one of the lucky ones. Regardless, I think today is the day I have given up on Mr Silva’s management. I always backed him as there were real signs of progress last season, but there has been an infinite regression in the early stages of this campaign and we must stop the haemorrhaging before we become embroiled in yet another relegation fight.
I do subscribe to the idea that we are far too boring to be relegated as I saw on Twitter recently, but let’s not put all our money on that idea and instead make a decision to move in a different direction. Mr Brands is too smart a man not to already have alternative management targets after the start to the season we have had, so they now must be pursued.
I appreciate that last season, Mr Silva was the man to get me excited to go to the match again and I will always thank him for that, but the fit with the football club just isn’t there anymore. We need a proactive manager.
Another job requirement being may or may not be okay with managing in the Championship.
