Edin Dzeko could make a surprise switch to Everton after he reportedly had a public fallout with Roma manager Paulo Fonseca.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport [via SportWitness], the Bosnian forward has seemingly damaged his relationship with his manager beyond repair and could be made available either on loan or for a permanent transfer.
The 34-year-old has scored seven goals in just 15 Serie A appearances this season, and his age has played no part in slowing down his predatorial eye for goal.
The former Manchester City marksman, who won two Premier League titles at the Etihad Stadium, has reportedly snubbed Premier League rivals West Ham, whilst his former club in Manchester and the Toffees are namedropped as surprise suitors for his signature.
Moreover, it is indicated by Sport Witness that Dzeko may well prefer fresh pastures at Everton over other options, with the attractiveness of working with Carlo Ancelotti speculated as being a decisive factor.

Whilst Dzeko’s age does not scream ‘longevity’, his goal record is not to be ignored.
A six-month loan deal with an obligation to buy could be a cost-effective and sensible option by the Everton board, but a move for him would not be without its challenges.
Although his future is in doubt at the Stadio Olimpico, it is unclear as to whether the Italian club are even ready to sanction a departure at this time.
Moreover, his reported €7.5m-per-annum wage packet (£6.66m-a-year) could be problematic. The Toffees may need to offload a striker, such as Cenk Tosun, before a move for Dzeko could be given the green light.
