Fabian Delph has been forced to withdraw from the England squad due to a hamstring injury.
According to Sky Sports News, the Everton midfielder will be watching on from home this time around.
Delph’s early season form had won him a place back in Gareth Southgate’s plans, but it wasn’t to be for the player, unfortunately.

This really is a cruel blow for Delph.
He had done ever so well to work his way back into England squad. There were fewer players who deserved it more than him, but he’ll now be forced to miss out.

It’s also a big blow to Gareth Southgate. Delph could’ve had a big role to play in the Three Lions squad, offering some much-needed experience to what is a young squad.
Everton will be hoping that this is nothing serious and the international break provides him with the opportunity to recover and rest ahead of the Premier League’s return.
With Andre Gomes only recently working his way back to full fitness and Jean-Philippe Gbamin a long-term absentee, this is another midfield problem that Silva cannot afford to have given the club’s current predicament.
