In an exclusive interview with The Transfer Tavern, former Premier League striker Dean Windass spoke about Everton.
The former Hull City forward hinted that the club could make a move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in the summer.
“They’ve done well this season, I called it they’d get relegated this year.
“He’s been there since he was a kid, but does he want another relegation battle next season – or does he want to be pushing for sixth or seventh with Everton, or someone like that? Technically in the wide areas, Ancelotti is probably looking for somebody like that.”

It would certainly pose an interesting transfer given the clubs previous interest in Zaha.
Everton had initially been linked with a move for Zaha back in 2019 when the Ivorian asked to leave boyhood club Crystal Palace.
However, the Toffees opted for Alexander Iwobi instead in a move that hasn’t quite worked out as well as hoped.
Zaha is a talented forward and most fans know this, but this last year he tried to force a move from Palace.
The winger hasn’t signed a new deal in almost three years and it is likely he will leave at the end of the season.
A deal for Zaha would likely be in excess of his current £40.5million market value according to Transfermarkt.
Windass thought process does make sense – Ancelotti is in need of a right-winger and Zaha could be perfect.
James Rodriguez has done really well to fill in there but doesn’t possess the pace he once used too.
The summer transfer window is a just around the corner, and Everton will likely be very busy.
