Seamus Coleman suffered a broken leg after a heavy tackle from Aston Villa’s Neil Taylor last night, as Wales drew 0-0 with the Republic of Ireland.
The 28-year-old, who was in clear distress following the nasty clash, had doctors attempting to hold his lower right leg in place and was taken off on a stretcher in the 68th minute of the game.
Neil Taylor, who plays as a right-back for Championship side Aston Villa, was shown a straight red for the horrific challenge.

The Irish international has been instrumental under new manager Ronald Koeman this season, making 26 appearances for the Toffees and scoring four goals in the Premier League.
When Ireland manager Martin O’Neil was asked about the right-back’s current state, as reported by Sky Sports, the 65-year-old said:
It’s a bad break. Seamus is a fantastic player and character – it’s a major blow for the lad, for his club and for us.
Apparently it wasn’t the best challenge in the world – I haven’t seen it back – but naturally disappointed. He’s gone to hospital and I think it’s broke.
