Everton defender Seamus Coleman has been ruled out of Ireland’s friendly against Poland with an ankle injury.
The BBC reports that Coleman has been dealt another injury blow after only returning to the international stage on Thursday.
Ireland’s 4-1 defeat to Wales was Coleman’s first international game in 18 months after his previous long-term injury.
The severity of the injury is yet to be revealed, as Everton prepare to face West Ham this weekend.

Coleman’s injury is another unfortunate blow for manager Martin O’Neill, who has seen his ever-expanding casualty list grow even further.
James McClean, Robbie Brady, James McCarthy and Shane Long are all unavailable through injury, while the squad is also without the likes of Harry Arter and Declan Rice.
The Cardiff City midfielder opted not to join up with the team after reports of a row between O’Neill and Roy Keane, while the latter is keeping his international options open following talk of an England call-up.
