The pressure is continuing to increase on Everton’s Portuguese manager Marco Silva.
The 2-1 victory over Southampton in their last league game was a welcome boost for Silva, who will be hoping for a similar result against Norwich on Saturday.

However, Everton’s board are still keeping a list of potential replacements ready and according to Le Equipe, are quoted on Sport Witness, Beijing Guoan head coach Bruno Genesio is one of them.
The Frenchman used to manage Ligue 1 side Lyon and his deal with Beijing Guoan expires at the end of the season, meaning he will be available for free.
Would he be a suitable replacement?

It’s good that the club has a few replacements ready just in case things don’t end well with Silva.
However, he seems to have steadied the ship and if the Toffees win against Norwich, then his position seems secure for at least the next few months.
Everton were hoping to be pushing for a top-six spot this season and if they severely miss their target, then Silva may have to leave, which could pave the way for Genesio to join.
