Everton midfielder Tom Davies has shared a witty comment on Instagram in support of his new Toffees teammate Demarai Gray.
Gray has scored three goals and added an assist in just eight games for the club since joining from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen after a six-month spell for a nominal fee.
Consequentially, Gray has quickly ingratiated himself with the Everton faithful and that has formed the basis of Davies’ nod to his fellow home-grown teammate.
As shared on Twitter by Everton’s official Twitter account, Davies made a pun that praised the growing influence of the former England youth international at the club.
The Everton academy product said ‘Demar I watch him demar I love him!!’ on the social media platform, with Everton reposting the comment and captioning the post by saying ‘same’ in response.

Social media engagement is an endearing sign of budding chemistry between members of the squad, and it is a reassuring sign that Gray’s swift rise in an Everton shirt is making him a fan and squad favourite alike.
The former Leicester City man’s spell in German football was short-lived and left question marks over his future when he was made available so cheaply, but he has more than repaid his £1.7 million transfer fee already with his scintillating offensive displays
As for Davies has been recently linked with a move to fellow league side Crystal Palace, according to reports from Football Insider.
Consequentially, how long he may remain a teammate of Gray is increasingly unknown if the Eagles move on their interest.
