This morning saw Sky Sports pundit and former Manchester United defender Gary Neville hold a Q&A on Twitter.
Whilst being asked an abundance of questions, there was one that stuck out in the eyes of the Everton faithful and it was far from complimentary.
A question from who can only be presumed to be an Everton fan asked where Neville thought the Toffees might finish in the Premier League at the end of the season, and he had this to say…
As devastating as Neville’s verdict on Everton is, you can understand where he is coming from.
The Toffees have been their own worst enemies at times this season and have dropped points in games that they really should have won.
Monday night saw a frustrating draw at home to Crystal Palace after Michy Batshuayi scored an 86th-minute equaliser, canceling out James Rodriguez’s initial effort.
There is still hope this season that Carlo Ancelotti and his men can turn thing’s around still with them just five points off of the top four.
Hopefully, this coming Monday will see the Toffees return to winning ways with a trip to Brighton & Hove Albion, with the players getting a healthy amount of time to recouperate.
Securing European football at the end of the season will be a huge positive for the club after a tough year in football, and the players will know this more than anyone.
