Several Everton fans have expressed their thoughts on the club potentially signing Djibril Sidibe on a permanent basis in the summer.
The French full-back joined the club on a season-long loan deal from Monaco in the summer, and while he initially impressed for the Blues, he has come under more criticism lately.
While the World Cup-winning defender has demonstrated his supreme crossing ability this season, his positional awareness and defensive capabilities haven’t been as convincing, with the 27-year old often left floundering out of position.
Talking to RMC Sport, Sidibe recently revealed that he had received the green light to make the move permanent, as far as he was concerned. Sidibe claimed to know both Monaco and Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for the future, while they also know his intentions.
Reacting on social media though, a number of Everton fans weren’t so keen on seeing Sidibe commit his future to the Toffees.
