Manchester United have joined Everton in the race for the signature of Inter Milan midfielder Matias Vecino, according to a report on CalcioMercato, who quote Gazzetta dello Sport.
Last week, Everton were reported to have made contact with the Italian club over a potential deal but according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the midfielder has agreed to join Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

On the other hand, Vecino’s agent has claimed that the player is very happy at Inter and is not looking for a move away this month.
United’s transfer deal for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes seems to have stalled and according to the report, the Red Devils see Vecino as a ‘last-minute option’ and a cheap alternative to Fernandes.

It is a very messy situation regarding Vecino as mixed messages are emerging from different camps.
If Vecino is indeed content at Inter as his agent claims, then we feel that Everton should immediately turn their attentions elsewhere because this could be a waste of time.
The transfer window is approaching its end and we feel that there could be more potential targets out there who are willing to move to the Premier League and Ancelotti should turn to them.
