Everton are now ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham in the race to sign Adrien Rabiot from Juventus.
According to Corriere dello Sport, as cited on Sport Witness, the Toffees are ready to pay €5 million to land the midfielder on loan this month.
They claim that Arsenal and Tottenham have taken taken ‘concrete steps’ to bring in the player on loan, but Everton now looks the most likely destination for the Frenchman.
Rabiot has been heavily linked with moves away from Juventus after failing to break through under Maurizio Sarri this season.

The report claims that Everton would be willing to include an option to buy at the end of the season and this could help swing a deal in their favour.
While it’s stated that Juventus remain adamant they don’t want to sell, the offer of some quick profit on a player they signed for nothing could be tempting for the Old Lady.
In Rabiot, Everton could be signing a player that can finally steps into the team to replace Andre Gomes – somebody they have desperately missed after his long-term injury.
With Jean-Philippe Gbamin also sidelined, Everton’s midfield has been stretched to the limit this season.
Given how highly he was rated at Paris Saint-Germain and the fact he’d be coming in from Juventus, Rabiot would be considered a major coup for Everton. A big-name signing could be just what the club needs to galvanise a lacklustre Toffees squad ahead of the second half of the season after a number of questionable performances.
