Everton have reportedly approached former Arsenal manager Unai Emery about the prospect of replacing Marco Silva at Goodison Park.
Sky Sports News claims that an ‘informal meeting’ had taken place in London to discuss the Spaniard’s interest in the role.
They go on to claim that Emery is eager to take more time away from the game before deciding his next move. However, they add that he could still remain in England as he seeks his next opportunity in management.

After seeing the way that Emery’s time at Arsenal came to an end, this probably isn’t going to be a very popular suggestion with the Everton fan base.

Emery looked out of his depth at the Emirates and his limited ability of the English language caused problems in North London. It would be something he has to seriously improve if he wants to get another Premier League job going forward.
While the report doesn’t specifically rule Emery out of the running, it does suggest the Toffees will look for bigger and better candidates, with Carlo Ancelotti believed to be among a four-man shortlist to take over at Goodison Park.
