So, today comes with cautious optimism aplenty. I am leaning towards being back on Mr Silva’s train, but that comes with the caveat of *playing the same system* because if we revert back to our shellshocked selves, then the West Ham game will have been completely in vain.
We looked very, very good last weekend and we need to keep up that same intensity away from home where our record has not exactly set the world alight, let’s say. Mr Silva is fully aware of the state of our performances at every ground not named Goodison Park (and in recent times at Goodison, also). The league still offers some semblance of hope with just how bad the quality within truly is, that we may yet be able to salvage something resembling a European trip next year.
The Premier League is truly becoming a poor league outside of two or three teams, and Brighton are not exactly a bastion of quality. We need to take advantage, and Mr Silva is still fighting for his job.
The players seem to want to play for him if last week was any indication, so let’s see who will be doing the fighting this week.
