The Blues paid £7million to sign Onyekuru from Belgian side Eupen back in 2017 but he was unable to secure a work permit and as such, was sent on loan to Anderlecht. He then spent the following season on loan in Turkey with Galatasaray. He did relatively well during both loan spells but Everton fans will not get see the player playing for their team as he has now been sold.
These fans wished Onyekuru the best of luck and expressed their disappointment that he couldn’t get a work permit.

Good luck, shame we didn't get to see him playing at Goodison.

Such a shame really. He has so much potential

However, others decided to use the opportunity to lament the fact that Onyekuru was signed in the first place as he didn’t qualify for a work permit.
The most pointless signing, ever

Farce of a signing

A few others were a bit cheeky and made light of the fact that he never kicked a ball for the Blues!
