Everton have reportedly made a last-minute bid to try and sign Malcom from Barcelona, so where does that leave the club’s pursuit of Wilfried Zaha and they ending their interest?
According to reports in Spain, as cited on Sport Witness, Everton have tried to hijack Zenit’s approach to sign Malcom in what is another twist in the club’s transfer business.
You would have to think that any move to sign Malcom would rule out an improved bid to sign Zaha from Palace.

The Brazilian would be the cheaper option of the two, with a deal worth €45 million being discussed as things stand.
While a move to Zenit looks more likely at this stage, fans will certainly be reading between the lines in terms of the club’s pursuit of Zaha.
Crystal Palace will not make it easy for Everton to complete what would be a stunning deal for the Ivorian and it appears that Marco Silva and the club have other targets in mind.
It’s positive to see that the club have shortlisted alternative targets and with time running out in the transfer window, it’s time for the Toffees to make a definitive move as they look to strengthen in the final third.
