Tottenham will provide competition to Everton for the permanent signing of Andre Gomes, according to the Telegraph.
The Portugal international has been a huge success since joining the Blues on loan from Barcelona in the summer.
His class has shone through in the middle of the park and Everton have made it clear that they want to make the temporary switch a permanent one.
Gomes’ performances are believed to have alerted many of the Premier League’s top clubs, however, as they look to steal him from under Everton’s nose.

Spurs are the latest to show an interest in the 25-year-old, with the Telegraph‘s report stating that Gomes “may wait to see what his options are in the summer”, at which point they would be ready to pounce.
Given the north London club’s current pedigree, in terms of playing Champions League football and competing for honours, his head could be turned.
That will be a major worry for Everton, who know how priceless signing the silky Portuguese would be.
Gomes has spoken of his happiness at Goodison Park currently, though, so the Blues should be confident in keeping him there beyond this season.
