Arsenal legend and TV pundit Martin Keown has compared Everton’s Gylffi Sigurdsson to Manchester United and West Ham legend Teddy Sheringham, HITC reports.
Gylfi Sigurdsson produced a fantastic performance in an Everton shirt on Saturday afternoon as the Toffees hammered newly-promoted Fulham 3-0, reminding fans why the club paid Swansea City £45m for his signature back in 2017.
Sigurdsson hit the bar with a penalty with the scores level at 0-0 but later opened the scoring for Everton with an incredible left-footed shot before adding the third goal late on in the game after hitting the back of the net from the edge of the box.

Speaking on Match of the Day, Keown went as far as to compare the Iceland international to Teddy Sheringham.
He reminds me of a young Teddy Sherringham the way he shapes up for that (his first goal against Fulham). He is someone who Everton can build on for the future.
He’s got that calmness, that quality and he’s coming into the confidence you need now.
