Alisher Usmanov could be about to inject some serious cash into Everton Football Club.
The Russian business magnate recently sold his shares in Arsenal to American Stan Kroenke, and is allegedly ready to invest elsewhere in the Premier League.
Forbes estimate Usmanov’s worth at $9.6 billion, after selling his 30% stake in Arsenal to Kroenke for £600 million.

Usmanov’s friend and former business partner Farhad Moshiri is majority shareholder at Everton, and recent comments to Russia 1 (quoted in the Daily Mirror) from Usmanov suggest the pair could be about to join forces again:
Everton is still far from where it should be. We will also help him. And how. This is my friend’s club.
International tension between Britain and Russia would make any deal problematic however, in the view of Usmanov.
In Britain, sports are too political, so to speak, a sphere. There’s a tremendous strain today in general in business. Therefore it is not known.
Moshiri has been the majority shareholder at Everton since February of 2016, and has pumped vast sums of money into the team since that time.
