Everton are reportedly close to sealing a £13.5m deal for Algeria international Ramy Bensebaini, according to the Daily Star.
The Daily Star is reporting that a source close to the player has informed them that the Toffees are edging ever closer to securing Bensebaini’s services.
Bensebaini is expected to leave his current club Rennes this summer, despite being under contract until 2020.
Everton are favourites to secure the 23-year-old centre-back’s services, however he is also attracting strong interest from Stuttgart.
The Bundesliga outfit have also apparently approached Rennes about the defender’s availability.
Everton boss Marco Silva is keen to add some youth into his squad this summer and Bensebaini would certainly prove a good addition for the Toffees.
As well as his preferred role in central defence, Bensebaini can also operate at left-back or in defensive midfield and he would become Everton’s first signing of the summer if they were to get a deal over the line.
