Mohamed Besic could be tempted with a return to Middlesbrough if chances do not appear at Everton, according to the Northern Echo.
The Bosnian midfielder spent the second half of last season at Boro, helping Tony Pulis’ side reach the Playoffs before being knocked out by Aston Villa. Besic reportedly enjoyed his time in Teesside and would welcome a return to the Riverside.

On his return to Everton however, Besic wants to know where he stands with new manager Marco Silva, with the Portuguese boss potentially opening the door to some fringe players.
Besic could see more first-team opportunities thanks to Silva’s arrival, with the new boss hinting he will not be rushing into letting players leave the club so soon after his arrival.
If first-team opportunities are not available, then Besic could be tempted to a move back to Boro, with Pulis aiming to take Boro back to the Premier League after narrowly missing out last season.
