Everton reportedly head the queue for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola (via Sport Witness) claim that the Toffees have made Carvalho a key transfer target this summer and are likely to make an approach soon.
Carvalho was the subject of a much publicised falling out between Sporting and West Ham last summer, with the Portuguese side claiming no bid was made for the player and the Hammers disagreeing.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder has made 35 appearances across all competitions for Sporting this season, scoring once and also providing an assist.

Carvalho has a €45m release clause in his contract, but the club’s hierarchy would reportedly listen to offers of around €30m.
With the future of manager Sam Allardyce still in question, it remains to be seen whether the club will move for Carvalho, with the English transfer window opening later this month.
The midfielder would provide competition for the likes of Idrissa Gueye, Morgan Schneiderlin, Tom Davies and Wayne Rooney.
West Ham could also go back in for the player, although relations between the two clubs could still be slightly frosty after the very public war of words.
