A/N: Before we start, I want to say that the decision made to send Lookman out on loan is up there with the worst decisions I’ve seen this football club make. I would go into more detail but; 1. I want to keep the intro concise and 2. I want to keep the intro PG.
Enough with the negativity. Everton are boss again. Séamus Coleman is also boss. Theo Walcott is, one more time, boss.
It was an excited atmosphere from the start as Coleman made his long-awaited return to a side desperately lacking in all of the qualities he possesses as second nature, them being: passion, pace, fight, attacking prowess and creativity. And then some.
Wayne Rooney was re-introduced to the deeper part of a midfield that, for the first time since the Stoke game, was lovely and balanced. Tom Davies was excellent in providing some fight up top with smart and persistent runs, Idrissa Gana Gueye handled the defensive aspect very well and Rooney pulled the strings with some very clever through balls.
