After sacking Ronald Koeman this afternoon, Everton are wasting no time in finding their next manager it seems.
Twitter: Expect Sean Dyche to be the next Everton manager. David Unsworth to be caretaker. More on @MailSport (@LeeClayton_)
Lee Clayton of the Daily Mail reports that the expectation is that Burnley manager Sean Dyche will be Koeman’s replacement, with David Unsworth set to take interim charge.
Dyche has earned a lot of praise for the job he’s done with Burnley over the last five years, replacing Eddie Howe at Turf Moor in 2012.
After a four-year absence, Dyche led Burnley back to the Premier League in 2013/14 but their stay only lasted one season.
Burnley grew stronger in 2015/16 when again Dyche led another promotion campaign and last season the Clarets were one of the toughest teams to beat at home.
So far this season, Burnley have started strong, winning away at Chelsea on the opening day, earning draws away at Tottenham and Liverpool as well as beating Everton at Goodison.
Dyche is a hot name being linked with the jobs at West Ham and Leicester as well but the targeting of an experienced British manager seems to be a step in the right direction and Dyche has earned the opportunity.
