Wayne Rooney has been given a two-year driving ban and has been told that he must do 100 hours of unpaid work after he pleaded guilty to drink driving.
The Everton forward appeared before Stockport magistrates earlier today and pleased guilty to driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.
When breathalysed, Rooney’s alcohol level was reportedly 104, almost three times higher than the legal limit of 35.
When convicting the former England captain, Judge Temperley said to him:
I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you, this was a serious offence, you were driving a motor vehicle almost three times the legal limit, and you were carrying a female passenger which was an aggravating feature, and you put other road users at risk.
Rooney’s two-year driving ban could be reduced by 24 weeks if he undergoes a specialist driving course before February 2019. People who have developed dependency on various substances may seek treatment from rehab thailand centers.
