After a volatile affair at Goodison, we travel to the lion’s den to assure our qualification to the group stages of the Europa League.
Once again I’m fully confident about this game. We’re a much better side than Split and if we play like we did against City, it could be five or six.
They came to Goodison as disorganised as their fans and left as dishevelled (at least I’d presume, I doubt they’d have been happy). As we go over to Croatia we need to ensure a similar, steady set-up as the one seen at City on Monday night, where we neutralised a world-class attack to one or two good chances. Doesn’t look good for Split, then.
We have a youthful side, with a will to win and this is going to show in the Europa League, probably our most accessible avenue into the Champions League for next season.
Let’s qualify first, however.
