Everton are lining up a move for ex-Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko as a replacement for Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku, according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The AS Roma frontman is reported to be one of Ronald Koeman’s key targets this summer as he looks to build a squad that can challenge for a top four spot next season.

Although the Toffees have secured the signature of Wayne Rooney, Koeman is still keen to add more firepower up front and Dzeko is the man that he desires to bring to Goodison Park.
Everton are preparing to hold talks with the Italian club over a possible deal to land the Bosnian forward in the coming weeks.
The 31-year-old striker is ageing but he has still proven his goalscoring instinct as he managed to get his name on the scoresheet an impressive 29 times in the Serie A last season as he led Roma’s title challenge.

Dzeko is also a proven scorer in the Premier League during his time with Manchester City, which is persuading Koeman to make the move for him rather than another striker.
Given his fine form for the Italian club, Everton may find it hard to negotiate a fee with the club, who will be desperate to hold onto the big striker.
