Everton aren’t going to go down without a fight in their pursuit to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea, and it’s been claimed that they are readying a revised, club-record offer to land him.
According to the Daily Mail today, the Toffees are prepared to bid £32m for Sigurdsson, with the Swans keen to hold out for a huge fee.
It’s understood that Paul Clement’s side have already rejected an opening offer of £27m for Sigurdsson this summer, but this hasn’t put Everton off as they hope to secure the Icelandic midfielder’s services.

The 27-year-old is subject to plenty of interest this summer, with Leicester also touted with a move for the playmaker, but Everton certainly seem to be most keen.
The report states that Sigurdsson remains Ronald Koeman’s number one target this summer, and the Toffees are clearly prepared to break the bank to land him.
Formerly of Tottenham, the midfielder enjoyed a hugely successful season with Swansea and the prospect of joining Everton is sure to be tempting.
