According to a Talksport report, Everton have made a huge offer to Benfica for Mexican forward Raul Jimenez.
Via the Portuguese newspaper Record, the 26-year-old, who is also wanted by fierce rivals Liverpool and West Ham, was apparently the subject of a massive bid from China. That offer was rejected but now for any team interested in the striker, they will have to pay £39m, reports suggest.
Jimenez moved from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2015 to the Portuguese giants for a fee of around £18m and since then has been a regular starter for Benfica. He managed 11 goals in all competitions last season and that has warranted a number of clubs to be after his signature this summer.

It would seem Everton could bring Jimenez to Goodison Park as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who looks almost certain to be returning to former club Chelsea.
The Toffees have already been extremely active in the transfer market spending around £100m in total bringing in players such as England’s Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane.
Everton are targeting another successful season and another statement signing in the form of Jimenez would certainly have rival teams worried about how good they will be next season.
