Everton are still interested in trying to sign Duvan Zapata from Napoli but the club are unwilling to pay the asking price as per reports in Italy, via Sport Witness.
Napoli have valued their fourth choice striker at £25million but Everton believe this fee to be ‘too expensive’.
Despite having already confirmed the signing of Sandro Ramirez from Malaga, Ronald Koeman is still likely to try and sign another striker to cover the probable departure of Romelu Lukaku.
Zupata would be a more direct replacement for Lukaku than Sandro is, but it is unclear whether Napoli would be willing to accept less than their valuation of £25million for his services.
Torino are also reportedly keen on vying for the striker’s signature although Napoli are yet to hold official talks with any club over the sale of Zapata.
Zupata scored 11 goals and picked up five assists whilst on loan at fellow Serie A side Udinese last season.
