Everton are hopeful of beating rivals Tottenham to land Bournemouth striker Joshua King, with the Norwegian striker unsure over a move to London, according to the Daily Mirror.
King, 25, has admitted being unsure over a move to Spurs as he knows Harry Kane is firmly established as Tottenham’s number one striker, and would only leave the Cherries this summer knowing that he will get regular first team football, something the Toffees may well offer him.
Everton are in the market for a forward this summer as they prepare for life without Romelu Lukaku, with the Belgian looking set to leave Goodison Park, and have turned their attention to King, who is hot property after bagging 16 Premier League goals during the last campaign.
The former Manchester United graduate is not desperate to leave Bournemouth during this transfer window and has stated that he will put his career ahead of the chance of gaining a lucrative contract elsewhere.
Ronald Koeman is hopeful that his side can hijack King’s transfer to Tottenham as he continues to stall on the move, with the Toffees seemingly prepared to offer him a bigger role in the first-team.
