Stoke are the next team to join the Toffees in the race to sign Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo.
It is claimed by the Daily Mail that the Italian side are looking for a fee in the region of £15million for the Colombian centre-back, as new manager Luciano Spalletti undertakes a reshuffle with his squad.
The Potters have failed to tie down defensive regular Ryan Shawcross to a new deal at the club as he enters the final year of his current contract. And after missing out on Liverpool outcast Mamadou Sakho, they have seemingly turned their attention to Murillo.
Recently-promoted Newcastle are also believed to be contenders for the 25-year-old’s signature, along with Everton, who would certainly have the greatest financial capacity to get the deal done.
Murillo featured for the Nerazzurri in 27 league games last term and managed to cement a spot in the starting eleven for the majority of the campaign.
