Everton are reportedly maintaining their interest in Las Palmas defender Mauricio Lemos.
According to a report from the Daily Mail today, the Toffees are considering a summer move for the promising defender, who was impressive for Las Palmas in La Liga last season.
Everton appear to be keen on bolstering their defensive options ahead of next season and Lemos is a man on their radar.
The Uruguayan has established himself as one of the world’s most promising central defenders over the last couple of years and has had his playing style likened to David Luiz’s.
Lemos is sure to command a hefty fee but would undoubtedly add some much needed quality and potential to Everton’s back-line.
However, it looks as though the Spanish side are keen to earn a lot from his sale, with them only willing to settle for the full cost of his £26m release clause in his current deal.
