Everton have once again been linked with a move for Burnley’s Andre Gray, with the Burnley Express reporting that Everton are set to firm up their interest in the striker.
The Burnley-based paper also claim that the move could be part of a double swoop on the Clarets, with the Toffees still pursuing centre-back Michael Keane.
Both Keane and Gray have just a year left on their contracts, and although Burnley would be prepared to let them leave next year for nothing if it means the club can keep hold of their best assets for another year, they could be tempted into selling.
The Clarets have been linked with moves for Everton players James McCarthy and Oumar Niasse, and the Burnley Express claims that the club could be tempted into a swap deal with the English duo moving to Merseyside in exchange.
Gray scored nine times for Burnley last season on their return to the Premier League, winning Championship Player of the Year the season prior after his 25 goals won Burnley the league title.
Keane was named as one of six players shortlisted for the PFA Young Player of the Year award last season, in what was a breakout year for the England international.
