Everton are reportedly among several top flight clubs to have shown an interest in landing Joel Asoro from Sunderland this summer.
According to a report from the Sunderland Echo, the Toffees are joined by the likes of Southampton, Liverpool and Arsenal, who are also interested in signing the Swedish youngster this summer.
Asoro has established himself as one of Sunderland’s top young players and the Black Cats could face some difficulties in keeping hold of him given their relegation to the Championship.
The Sweden Under-21 international is capable of playing up top and on the wing, making him an attractive and versatile prospect to any potential suitors ahead of the summer.
Everton will hope that Asoro can be persuaded by Ronald Koeman’s willingness to utilise the younger players at his disposal from his maiden season on Merseyside, with the Swedish youngster craving first team football in the coming campaign.
