Everton will face competition from Tottenham and AC Milan for Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen this summer, according to Calcio Mercato.
Ronald Koeman had earmarked the Ajax playmaker as an ideal replacement for Ross Barkley, who is being linked with a Goodison Park exit after refusing to pen to paper on a new deal at the club.
Klaassen captained Ajax to the Europa League final this season in a campaign that will largely be remembered for the youthfulness of the Eredivisie side.
With the likes of Davinson Sanchez and Kasper Dolberg playing a starring role, Ajax have given their fans a glimpse into the future this season.
Tottenham have the addition of Champions League football to contend with next season and will need to add both depth and quality to their side if they want to maintain their high standards.
Milan are also due for a busy summer following Chinese investment last season. They have already confirmed deals for Franck Kessie, Mateo Musacchio and Ricardo Rodriguez.
